What is Go Give One?
Created by the WHO Foundation, the Go Give One campaign addresses the growing vaccine equity gap. Go Give One is a ‘campaign with no borders’ – that is, anyone anywhere in the world can donate to the cause! Donations are used to help fund COVID-19 vaccine distribution to lower-income countries, with the money raised going directly to COVAX AMC. What is COVAX?
According to Go Give One, “COVAX is the vaccines pillar of the Access to COVID-19 Tools (ACT) Accelerator, a ground-breaking global collaboration to accelerate the development, production, and equitable access to COVID-19 tests, treatments, and vaccines. It is co-led by GAVI, the vaccine alliance, the WHO and the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI), alongside key delivery partner UNICEF.
COVAX aims to ensure that around half of the world’s countries – the half with the lowest incomes – will be able to get free vaccines to their people through Gavi COVAX AMC so that 92 poorer countries will receive access to vaccines at the same time as 98 wealthier countries, aiming to deliver 2 billion vaccine doses by the end of 2021.”

How Can I Contribute?
Visit Go Give One’s website and make a donation. Your money goes directly to the Gavi COVAX AMC.
Each $5 donation is enough to give one vaccine dose to a lower-income country. Go Give One’s goal is to get 50 million people to participate in this campaign – so if 50 million people each donate $5, that would allow a donation of 50 million doses to those in need!
This is a ‘campaign with no borders’; anyone in the world can donate to GoGiveOne to help achieve vaccine equity.
What If I Can’t Donate? Are There Still Ways I Can Help Out?
Even if you are not in a position to donate, there are still ways you can help Go Give One achieve their mission. Sharing the Go Give One campaign on social media using the hashtags #GoGiveOne and #COVID19 helps the initiative reach more potential donors and raises awareness of vaccine equity.

Why We Support Go Give One
The New Global Normal team supports Go Give One as we recognise that the pandemic isn’t over anywhere until it is over anywhere. Over a year ago our founder published an article outlining the need for global vaccine cooperation. One year on, we know this to be important now more than ever. Individual actions that contribute to efforts addressing vaccine inequity are required to end the pandemic.
